Delete your account and data

Two ways to remove your account and everything stored with it. Use whichever is easier.

Option 1 — Do it in the app (takes effect immediately)

Open the Echo Korean app.
Tap the person icon 👤 at the top right.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account and data.
Type DELETE when asked, then confirm. Everything is removed straight away.

If you use it in a browser rather than installing it, sign in at the web app and follow the same steps.

Option 2 — Ask by email

If you have already uninstalled the app, or cannot get into it, send us a request instead.

Please include the Google account email address you signed in with — without it we cannot find your account.

What gets deleted

Data	What happens
Your sentences, translations and 💡 explanations	Deleted immediately — both on your device and in the cloud
Practice scores and review schedule	Deleted immediately
Usage counts (how many sentences per day)	Deleted immediately from the translation server
Account details (name, email, account ID)	Deleted immediately — the Google sign-in link is removed
Listening time totals	Deleted immediately — these only ever existed on your device

This cannot be undone

Once deleted, there is no way to get any of it back. If you want a copy first, go to ⚙️ Settings → Your records → Export everything as a text file before you delete.

Is anything kept afterwards?

No. Everything above is removed, with no retained copies and no grace period. There was never any audio to delete — recordings are never stored; your speech becomes text and the sound is gone.
